The following are all my thoughts about the state of sports in Bismarck. With the Wizards leaving, the question is are the Bobcats next? The Bobcats are in the middle of the North American Hockey League playoffs and they are about ready to face the Austin Bruins, with game one on Friday and game two on Saturday. Bismarck has always been a high school town, all about the Demons, Patriots, and Saints. Only time will tell if the Bobcats are the next minor league sports victim. You look at Bismarck’s history and things do not look good for the Bobcats, but maybe with the Wizards leaving that will draw a whole new groups of fans, one can only hope. Bismarck get behind your Bobcats when they try and win the Robertson Cup! I do not want the Bobcats to go into hibernation. I do not want the Bobcats to be extinct. So, what I am trying to tell you is make Bismarck into Hockeytown, USA. Make me proud! I want the VFW All Seasons Arena packed this weekend. Show the boys that you care, like I do. Bismarck, just because you are a high school town doesn’t mean you can’t support the Bobcats.
