Oct 1st Bismarck, ND

It was a match up of two teams, with one being an expansion team. Meanwhile, on the other side, the defending National Champions, the Bismarck Bobcats. In tonight’s game we learned that just because you have an expansion label on you, that doesn’t mean anything. Aberdeen is the up and coming team! It’s one of those teams, that if you don’t bring your A-game you are going to learn a hard lesson. Here is the scoring recap. Aberdeen would stun the Champs by getting on the scoreboard first, with an Aberdeen goal by #29 N. Semjoniv. Aberdeen would have a 1-0 lead at the end of the first period. The Cats would create plenty of pressure before finally tying the game at 1 in the second period. Not only would they tie the game, they would grab a 2-1 lead also in the second period. We would go back and forth on the teeter-totter for awhile with both teams getting tallies. There would be several ties in tonight’s game before Aberdeen would snatch away any hope that the Bobcats had of improving to 4 wins, 2 losses, 1 tie. Instead, the Bobcats fell to 3 wins, 3 losses, and 1 tie, but for Aberdeen this is the first win of the year. Meanwhile, the Bobcats’ next opponent had the night off. The Bobcats find themselves tied in second place with Alexandria. They hope to melt the Blizzard tomorrow night at 7:15 at the VFW Sports Center. The Bobcats will face off against the Austin Bruins next Friday, Oct 8th in Austin at 7:15pm.
