West Lafayette, Indiana. With the hopeless one gone, it’s time to start forming our opinion on a new staff. We haven’t even seen the Boilers play a down yet, and we know little about the new coach, but hopefully we can perform better than we did under Danny in the past. I will be interested to see what the newest Boilers look like under the new Hazell era. We haven’t heard anything from the young coach yet. It will be interesting to follow the Boilers and see if they are tougher than last year. I think the Purdue Boilermakers are going bowling, one can only hope! Here is a look at Purdue’s schedule, along with my predictions on how many they will win. The first test will come against last year’s number two team in the country, the Irish! Should we say the first real test will come against last years runner’s up. Without Cedric, the Boilers should have a much better chance to beat their rivals from northern Indiana and reclaim their trophy. Without Cedric, I think that the Boilers have a chance to beat the Irish. Now the score for the Notre Dame game: I think it will be Purdue 20 and Notre Dame 17. I think that Purdue has a chance to make a lot of noise in the Big Ten, and I also think that they will win seven games and only lose three. With their losses coming on the road, seven and three should be good enough to get them to a bowl game. But you also have to keep in mind that injuries might happen on the football field. I will be interested in what the Boilers will do with their defense, which was one of their major down falls last year. It will also be interesting to see what kind of different plays the will run, both offensively and defensively. I cannot wait to take my first look at the Boilers! As soon as we know what games will be on TV, we will let you know.
