He’s back! After being with the Cedar Rapids Iowa Roughriders of the USHL for 18 games, the Bismarck Bobcats needed some help on their defensive end, so they went calling to the Roughriders to bring a familiar face back to Bismarck in Mitch Walinski. Walinski told the Sheriff’s Patrol that it was great to be back in the Bismarck-Mandan community. He is looking forward to helping the Bobcats obtain a playoff spot this season in the NAHL Central Division.

In regards to playing host to the first place Aberdeen Wings this weekend, Walinski is looking forward to the matchup in trying to gain more points on the third place Minnesota Wilderness and widen the gap on the fifth place Minot Minotauros. The fourth place Bobcats sit three points behind the the Wilderness and three ahead of Minot.

The Bobcats can use the momentum that they gained in their recent three game series against the Minotauros, winning the first two games on their home ice last weekend. To cook the Wings this weekend, Bismarck Asst. Head Coach Garrett Roth said the Bobcats must come away with three points this weekend to be considered a success.

Let’s hope the Bobcats continue with their recent success.
