Cleveland, Ohio – The good thing for the motor city kitties is it’s early in the season. If this were late August I would say there is no way that the boys can recover and make the playoffs. The bad thing for the Tigers is they were swept by the Indians in a three game series which I thought the Tigers would come to life and at least get two out of three from the Indians, but unfortunately it wasn’t meant to be. Sooner or later the real Tigers will show up and make the rest of the American League Central quiver. As for Verlander, it was not his fault because he was the usual Verlander and the Tigers offense is to blame. Even though you have your Cy Young Award winner on the mound, he can’t save you all the time. You have to support him with more offense. I know that Austin Jackson is out with an injury but Prince Fielder needs to start acting like the king of the jungle instead of a prince. We didn’t give you a 9 year contract so you could pussyfoot around. Another Tiger’s play that has been inexcusable is Alex Avila. Alex, let’s see if we can catch the ball and help your pitching staff out a little more. Where is your head this year, son? If you look at the American League Central standings the Tigers are 6 games back from the front-running Indians, after their 2-1 loss.
