Wednesday July 10. TMD had Rick Hendrick on their show today, and it was very interesting. Of course they were talking about five time with Mr. H. Usually, I get tired of people complaining about NASCAR, but TMD was very refreshing today. Mr. H said that nothing surprises him about five time, and the chemistry between Knaus and Johnson is good. As for Jeff Gordon, Henrick said this about Gordon, “He has just had rotten luck.” As far as the double eight, he said an announcement on a new sponsor will be coming soon, and “We would like to make it a multi year deal.” Henrick stated to Pistol Pete and Tom Bulls. Pistol Pete and Tom also had Travis on, and they were talking about Joey Logano and “BK”. They were very impressed with the way number 22 has been running, and they were also impressed with Joey’s maturity level. As far as the defending Sprint Car champion, Travis was not too worried about Brad’s position. Travis said he is not worried because “We have some good race tracks coming up and we just need to stay on the course that we are already on.” Now, I’m going to move to NASCAR radio. Sometimes NASCAR radio can drive this reporter nuts with all the fan’s complaints, but I would like to say congratulations to Pistol Pete and Tom Bulls who was filling in for a native of Atlanta Georgia. My condolences go out to Mike and his entire family. We definitely are thinking about you and missing you as well.
