Detroit, Michigan. When you play a team that could be a playoff franchise,, you never know what you are going to get. Thankfully, the Tigers got a win due to Alex Avila’s home run and Drew Smyly coming in and shutting the Royals down. Max is still stuck at 19 wins. I don’t think it’s a matter of a tired arm, but I will tell you this Tiger fans, Max definitely looks like Justin should look every year. If Max doesn’t win the CY Young award, then that would be a crime that I would never forgive major league baseball for. How can you punish someone who has worked very hard all year long with Jeff Jones to come out of the keyhole and has the art of pitching? Max is the complete pitching machine. I feel that one of these days he is going to get his 20th win. I have said this time and time again. I think the Tigers should take a good long look at themselves, and try to keep Max. If they don’t, then I think they need their heads examined. Dave Dombrowski, if you let Max and Alex walk then I think you need your head x-rayed. Al Avila has the power to do that to you, because he is assistant general manager along with you. I just feel very strongly that Alex and Max are two of the biggest pieces of the Tigers franchise. I also can’t forget to mention Prince and Miguel. I think that the Tigers have four players that are the face of their franchise and two of them are free agents. If the Tigers don’t re-sign any of them, then I think they would be letting down the city of Detroit. Except Jhonny Peralta.
