Detroit, MI. After coming off a weekend where they took three out of four from Boston and made them see red, the Tigers turned their attention to try and get one step closer to 50 wins before the all star break. Tonights opponent is having a awful year. The Angels are in last place in the west. While the Tigers quest to put a strangle hold on the Indians and the rest of the central devision continues when you are playing a last place ball club. You want to put to the hammer down right away! The Tigers can’t get over confident, because if they do Mike Trout will burn them with the long ball. You can’t allow Trout to get going! The Tigers are at home tonight and all series long so there should be no excuses for any lack of performance. Miggy is Miggy and Fielder is Fielder you know they will be ready to play. The only area that I see that could be potential problem for the Tigers is something that I have been talking about all first half of the season. Which is the bull pen must step up! Who ever that Leyland decides to use they must be ready to shut the Angels offense down. There should be no reason why the Angels should come to Comerica and win. I don’t know what the Tigers do on their off days, but I would assume that they study the Angels hitters at some point and how their opposing team have been pitching to them.
