For most of the summer, the real Tigers have been hibernating. Meanwhile, their closest competitor throughout most of the summer has gone into the washer and dryer. After looking like there was no hope to catch the White Sox, it’s like somebody has taken their socks off and forgot to claim them in the laundry basket. A.J. Pierzynski might be in his final moment as a White Sox. How sweet would it be to put these old, holey sox in the trash? It would be very sweet for the Tiger Nation to wave bye-bye to these old pair of sox. It was just three weeks ago that it looked like Jim Leyland and these Tigers were given a tranquilizer, but now, the Tigers have caught and passed the White Sox and are looking as ferocious as ever.
