This is it, Tiger fans. This is what we worked hard for in spring training in Florida. This is what every baseball team dreams of, from opening day to the final out. This will be an intriguing match up, and it has the possibility to go seven games with both teams having a lot of fire power.
Game one is the key. I think whoever gets game one the pressure is on the other team to split because no one wants to be down two games to none on baseball’s biggest stage. The Giants have fire power but they don’t have Verlander, and they don’t have the fire power to keep up with Prince Fielder and Miguel Cabrera. And the way Phil Coke has been playing, it will be interesting to see how the Giants counter. Another part of the match up that I will be watching is the bull pen, to see if Leyland goes with Phil Coke or Jose Valverde. If I were manager, I would go with Phil Coke, but I’m not in his shoes. Only time will tell. Another thing that I will be watching is to see if he goes with number nine or number 13 behind the plate. I would go with Alex Avila, because you never know when you are going to need number 9 along with any other surprises that might happen. Finally I would like to close this article by giving you my prediction: Tigers in seven games.
