Detroit, Michigan. With former Tigers Kurt Gibson and Alan, I drink like a camel, Trammell on the other side in the Arizona dugout, Arizona was looking to make it rough on the Tigers on the diamond Sunday. After roaring out to a 1-0 lead on a home run by Jhonny Peralta in the second inning, the Tigers offense was as dry as the desert, allowing the Diamondbacks to tie the game at one, and make Brad Penny look like one cent. The Diamondbacks would claim a 2-1 lead, but the Tigers wouldn’t leave their fans thirsty for long. An offensive explosion in the eighth inning resulted in the Tigers trouncing the Diamondbacks 8-3, and made Detroit look like the valley of the sun. The Detroit offense revved its engine and before the carnage was over, it would be the Diamondbacks who were thirsty and who found themselves stranded in the jungle with teeth marks all over them. The boys from the Motor City were like a well-oiled Corvette on Sunday afternoon, and now find themselves the leader of the pack in the AL Central. The Tigers now face the Jays in a make-up game. Game time is at 6 pm on Monday, June 27.
