Just when you thought it was safe to skate around, the Minot Minotauros refuse to go away and return to the Bismarck VFW Sports Center again this Friday night in another home and home series against their arch rival which could possibly find either team in first to fourth place in the NAHL Central Division late Saturday night after the smoke clears. The Minotauros, last seasons runner up in the Robertson Cup Finals, currently sit in a 2nd place tie with the Austin Bruins with 33 points, only one point behind the first place team the Aberdeen Wings. The Bobcats are currently in fourth place with 31 points.

According to Bobcats Defenseman Willy Stauber, the Bobcats must come out and be fast on their skates if the Bobcats are going to have success this weekend. Willy also feels that if the Bobcats are able to play a full 60 minutes of hockey, the four points will add up on the Bobcats side of the ledger.

One of the reasons for the Duluth, Mn. product in wearing the Bobcats jersey was his desire to get away from his home town. He also felt that Bismarck was a good fit for him and so far he is happy with that decision. He also likes the team atmosphere in the Bobcats locker room which he gives credit to Coaches Sedevie and Roth for. Willy also likes the strength and conditioning preparation that is in place for the team at Sanford Power to get through the grueling 60 game NAHL schedule.

When not on the ice, you can find Stauber hunting or fishing amongst his other hobbies. Let’s hope that Willy and his Bobcat teammates can bag their limit of four points against their rival Minotauros this weekend.
