Martinsville, Virginia. With Jimmie and Matt playing hot potato with the points lead, and Jimmie staying out of controversy until today, you might as well tell Greg Biffle to flush himself down the toilet and quit acting like a child. Just when you thought the Chase was going to be clean without any controversy, leave it to Biffle to get in Johnson’s way. I believe I told you earlier in a recent post on this website how this used to be Johnsonville. Today, it’s Gordonville, as the 42 year old tries to tie his teammate in the number of championships. The Chase has been relatively quiet until now, as far as controversy. Sunday ruined that. I suppose all the radio programs that I use to cover NASCAR for you will be filled with Spiffy Biffs and Johnson talk this week. The Chase goes where everything is bigger in Texas. And with three races to go until a champion is finally crowned, it’s still too close to call. If I had my pick, it would be a Gordon and Johnson finish. One-two for Hendrick Motorsports, but I suppose we have to add a Wisconsin cheese head to the list, too. So the reason why I am so irate about today’s race is because it’s going to clutter the airwaves with stuff that I don’t like to write about. I am a fan of motorsports, but you see me on earlier posts about NASCAR having to write about people that want to give the sport of NASCAR a black eye, and yes, I’m talking about you, Clint Boyer. I will be happy when we can look ahead to Daytona. It should come down to the best driver, but instead I’m afraid NASCAR fans, that it will come down to the biggest baby. What I saw on the racetrack today between Biffle and Johnson was totally uncalled for, and they know that. But they want to make the story about who can be the biggest baby. Instead of focusing on the championship between Kenseth and Johnson, or a possible Johnson – Gordon one-two, we have to write about Greg Biffle and his feud with Jimmie Johnson. Look for a Texas preview later in the week.
