Even though the scoreboard has not been going in our favor these last two games, I like what I have been hearing from the radio voice of the Bismarck Bobcats, Paul Teeple.

The boys still have a championship pedigree in them. Some of the credit needs to go to Head Coach Layne Sedevie and his Assistant Head Coach Garrett Roth. When it all comes down to it, the main credit has to go to a young man who wears the “C” on his Bobcat jersey, Jared Resseguie, in his ability to fight and paw even when things are not going your way. He will not back down to any opponent while he is on the ice. The Arvada, Colorado native has everything you want in being the captain of this team.

So does defenseman Noah Bormann from Blaine, Minnesota, who was named Assistant Captain for the rest of the season. Bormann is a tough son-of-a-gun who will stick up for his fellow teammates and isn’t afraid to mix it up, especially around the Bobcat net minder. He is very protective of whoever is in goal for that night’s game.

The Bobcats were able to come away with two points this last weekend with overtime losses against the Minot Minotauros, even though it was not what the coaching staff wanted. The Bobcats currently sit in a first place tie with the Brookings Blizzard with 18 points and an overall record of 8-5-2 in the NAHL Central Division. The Bobcats will be facing the last place Austin Bruins at the VFW “Den” this weekend.
