Bismarck, ND. Saturday night at the VFW Sports Center was fun. Even though Coach Tok thinks he has a lot to talk about with his Bruins being in Coach Sedevie’s familiar spot. Saturday night proved why the Bobcats are still the clear favorites for a fifth straight Central Division title, as they took what they did Friday night at Aberdeen, and transformed it into a four point weekend. The Sheriff was a little bored during the second intermission, so I decided to take a stroll where no one else is allowed to go during the game, down by Bobcat Country locker room. The four-time defending champs had a look in their eye like we can still catch the Bruins. What I told the coaching staff will remain between their Sheriff and the coaching staff. Whatever the Sheriff told them must have resonated along the bench, because during period number three, it looked like the four-time Central Division champs were on their game, and we’re not going to let a team that has 8 points get away with a split. If I was the Bruins, I would be worried about the Bobcats. The head coach and general manager looked at me and said we “will try to do our best.” What I saw during the third period was a total effort by Knoch and the guys. The Wings were clearly outplayed last night, which made me think about a run at the Robbie and the Dakota Cup. Aaron Nelson was clearly on his game last night. Without a doubt if the Bobcats catch the Bruins, he will be your MVP. I thought head coach and general manager Layne Sedevie was going to go with Bryan Nies, but he stuck with Nellie, which proved to be a great decision on his part. The Bobcats were high fiving me coming out of their locker room, which made the Sheriff feel like a part of the team. They did not have to do that, but what can you say about Adam and this group of players? They’re like brothers, and they act like they know who their number one fan is.
