New manager, new attitude. Recently the Twins have been smoking the ball and have been using the long ball to score. I think Eddie Rosario has been the team leader in showing his team how to hit home runs. Eddie hasn’t been the only one stinging the ball. Nelson Cruz has also been tattooing baseballs. The other night he had a 3 home run game against the hapless Chicago White Sox. The credit for the Minnesota turnaround has to go to former Tampa Bay Rays player and now new Twins skipper “Rock and Roll”, (Rocco) Baldelli. Also, Thad Levine and Derek Falvey are responsible for getting new players in by free agency. These players include Jonathan Schoop from the Orioles, and Nelson Cruz who has had a long career with many teams. I would like to point out that the art of pitching has been on display at Target Field and everywhere that your first place Minnesota Twins have gone. However, pesky Terry Francona and the Cleveland Indians have sliced in to the Twins once insurmountable 11 game lead and have chopped it down to a 2 game lead. This season will come down to game 163 and the Indians will be Minnesota’s opponent in that game and it could be for all the marbles and the Central Division Title.
