Detroit, Michigan
The Tigers and the Yankees were scheduled to play nine innings Friday night in the opening game of the AL division series, however the game was suspended half way through the second inning, due to weather. The pitching match up was between Justin Verlander and CC Sabathia, but fans had to wait until Monday night to see two of the best pitchers in all of baseball go toe to toe! On Monday night, CC took a bath in wildness. He was splashing water all over the place. The Tigers were able to take advantage with timely hitting by Brandon Inge and Delmon Young. It was perfect pitching by Purr-Lander that gave the Tigers a lot to roar about, and has the Yankees, better known as “the biggest overpaid bunch of goons”, one loss away from elimination in the playoffs. I can’t wait to see if my friends Brandon and Phil get one step closer to becoming kings of the baseball jungle, in this evening’s game.
