Indianapolis, Indiana. After an inexcusable mess on Sunday that allowed Miami to be able to grab a 2-1 lead in the best of seven series, the Pacers knew what was at stake on Tuesday night. The Pacers came out fiery and scored 11 straight points before Miami knew what hit them, and that lead them to be down 11 to nothing. The Pacers didn’t want to watch a celebration in South Beach. If they would have lost on Tuesday night, the series would have been over with for all intents and purposes. When Miami was ahead by four, the Pacers could have folded up shop right there. But because the crowd was so supportive on Tuesday night, they were not only playing for their season, they were playing for a state that has been very vocal about their Pacers. They were able to do something that they haven’t had success doing – dealing with a snake from Ohio, Lebron James, who they hadn’t had much success dealing with in game three. It was him who put a butt whooping on the Pacers. Last night’s game was some game to see, to see a team play for a state that loves its basketball. All that seperates the Pacers from the Eastern Conference title is one game in Al Qaeda Territory, and if we win on Thursday, the Pacers could claim their first Eastern title since 2005. To get the job done in Al Qaeda territory, the Pacers are going to have to play as a unit and remember that the state of Indiana loves them.
