After playing nothing short of NBA D-League basketball, the Pacers finally returned to the heartland. They played a full 48 minutes of superb basketball and made “Slick” Leonard say “BOOM Baby!” a lot (which is what the Indiana native says when the Pacers hit a 3-ball). He also got to sing, “Turn out the lights, the party’s over!”. This was a huge win for the Pacers who have been playing unacceptable basketball. Anyone who knows me, knows that I breathe Blue and Gold, and when I hear “Slick” coaching on the radio I don’t like it because he is there to commentate. I like to listen to Slick when the Indiana Pacers are playing very well because he has the heart of an Indiana Hoosier just like this writer does. I am hoping that the Blue and Gold can make a run at the playoffs. The Indiana Pacers will have a familiar face with them in their game on Sunday when they extinguish the Heat. Curious George will come back to play on the court and hopefully lead the Blue and Gold to the playoffs. You can follow the action between the Heat and the Pacers on 1070 the Fan WFNI with my good buddies Mark Boyle and “Slick” Leonard this Sunday. You can also hear it on XM Radio, channel 213 at 5:30pm ET (that is 4:30 CST). Don’t forget to tune into Pacers Overtime with Eddie White following the call. That will be your chance to react to what you heard from Mark and “Slick”.
