This Wednesday we had a chance to get a little grouchy on the Sheriff’s Patrol, when we visited with Oskars Batna, the big 6-5, 220lb. forward, who scored the game winner on Peter Thome, and sent the Bobcats fans home with another win against their arch rivals from South Dakota, the Aberdeen Wings. The win boosted the Bobcats into a position that they haven’t yet been in all year long. Instead of them having to chase down everyone from fifth place, the Bobcats are now #1 with their win over Aberdeen. But according to Bobcats head coach and general manager Layne Sedevie, to stay on top of the mountain in the NAHL Central Division, the Bobcats must continue to win. That is the theme inside the four walls of the VFW Sports Center at 1200 N. Washington, and it all starts with the 6 year bench boss, Layne Sedevie. We also learned that the Bobcats are 13-6 away from the friendly confines of the den.
