In this weeks Sheriff Patrol you will learn about what a foreign hockey player goes through and you will also learn about Assistant Coach Garrett Roth. Garrett Roth also has another title, besides assistant coach to Lane Sedevie, he is also the Director of Player Personnel. This means that he is also responsible for getting new players to wear the Bobcats uniforms. From my interview with Number 18, Lars Christian Rodne, you will learn about how hockey differs between the Norway style and the NAHL.In Norway, Lars was playing pro with bigger men. According to Rodne, the NAHL plays on a smaller rink which means your awareness has to be really focused. Number 18 says your awareness really has to be heightened and you have to be aware of where your guys are at all times. The relationship with the Norwegian game is they both have the same tempo and the same speed. You will also learn that Rodne began skating and playing hockey when he was 4. His dad was a big influence because he took him to the local rink. When asked what his favorite food was in Norway he replied my dads chicken. He made a pretty good barbecue chicken. When asked about American food, he replied steak. The Sheriffs Patrol would like to wish number 18 and the rest of the team good luck to bring the Robinson cup back to Bismarck.
