Denver, CO. With the NFL season starting tonight, Jeremiahboyce.com wanted to give his opinion on the Ravens chances for a repeat. There is a famous poem written by Edgar Allen Poe, “quoth the Raven nevermore.” This year I think it will be totally different. Quoth the Horse nevermore! I expect whinnying to come out of two stables this year, the ones in Denver, and the ones in Indianapolis. Flacco knows nothing about what it takes to be a champion. I’m not saying that the Ravens Super Bowl win was a fluke, but with any defending champions you never know until the target is on your back how you will be able to perform. Peyton has a memory that he carried all off season long, and that was of the Ravens walking out of his barn as winners. This season, you will see how a quarterback gets better. Also, if Flacco wants to defend his title, it will all start in Denver tonight! Just because you wake up and you are the defending champions doesn’t mean you will be defending champions after 16 weeks. Peyton can rear, so Joe Flacco better be ready to know what defeat feels like, because Peyton is coming for you. Peyton will also make you 0-1. Just when you least expect it, Peyton gets a new weapon to back him up against you guys, and his name is Wes Welker. I am ready to tell you how some horses get better with age. Tonight you will be watching as Peyton tears apart the defending champions. Ray Lewis isn’t there to save them. He already rode off into the sunset. I just think that the Ravens are going to struggle defending their title. If you want to know the truth, then here it is. I think that Peyton is in the twilight of his career, and I also think that his teammates would like to get him back to the Super Bowl before he is unable to throw the football. Quarterbacks like Peyton don’t last forever. The guy is like a field general.
