This season so far Northwoods League baseball, Manager Sean Repay has to be happy with what he is seeing on the field for his Bismarck Larks. The Larks have started off with a 5-2 record in their first week of play and are tied for first place with the Rochester Honkers in the North Division of the Northwoods League.

This team plays well as a group together with plenty of offensive fire power. The Larks have scored 53 runs in their seven games played so far which averages out to 7+ runs a game to go with 10 hits a game which comes from a team batting average of .290. This goes along with a team pitching ERA of 2.85.

In their 9-1 victory over La Crosse last night, the Larks scored seven of those runs in the fourth and fifth innings, basically putting another log in the fire or win column. The Larks will try to remain undefeated at Bismarck Municipal Ball Park as they go for the two game sweep of the Loggers tonight before embarking on the road to Eau Claire Wisconsin for four games seeking their first road victory.
