Minneapolis, Minnesota. I will never, ever, forget this past Thursday night and my visit to US Bank Stadium, because of two special people with the Minnesota Vikings. Jon Ekstrom, from the very start of our conversation, treated my website very seriously, even though he didn’t have to. He is the public relations manager for the Minnesota Vikings, and he made all of our website work very easy, by giving us access to the Press Box. Not only that, but he gave us unprecedented access to a man who most people are not allowed to talk to. More on him later. Mr. Eckstrom allowed us to go inside the Vikings locker room after the game where we talked to Ben Gedeon, a rookie linebacker from Michigan. Ben was very approachable, and we learned how he felt about trying to make the Purple. The other special person was Paul Allen, the voice of your Minnesota Vikings. Also with Paul Allen was Pete Bercich. Even though they didn’t have time for an interview, they made me feel special. Paul Allen made me feel like I played for Minnesota, saying “Jeremiah is loose!” like I had the ball for the Vikings. Before I left the TV booth, Mr. Allen said, “God bless you, big guy.” After the game, I saw Mr. Allen again in the locker room. He must have been filling in for Greg Coleman.

Thank you again, Jon Ekstrom, for the exclusive access to the Purple.

Stay tuned for more Minnesota Vikings coverage all season long.
