It’s going to be fun to watch on Thursday night. The one match up that I will be watching is Christmas vs Oladipo. The Hoosiers have been un-zeller-able lately. I think IU is so battle tested and so close to winning a national championship. They have six more big battles to go through, and they are so close. This year’s team reminds me of 1987, the way they play together as a unit. Today on AM 1070 they were talking about how IU fans were complaining about how soft Cody Zeller’s game is. Which made me think why are you complaining IU fans? Give credit where credit is due. So far, I have seen nothing but great strength and mental toughness from Cody. Whoever gets him in the NBA is going to be lucky. I don’t know what the Pacers’ plans are, but Cody reminds me of a young Rick Smits. There is no greater example. When you think of toughness you think of number one Jordan Hulls from Bloomington South. I would wear a Cody Zeller jersey anytime, because he knows what it means to be a Hoosier and he has what it takes! Six more games and we will be number one in the country. I have had so much fun covering the IU Hoosiers, because Tom is the perfect coach for us. You never see him yelling or ranting or raving on the sidelines. Of course, IU fans, I don’t wear the uniform, but I would love to. Tom is an unbelievably special coach. Bo Ryan doesn’t have the Big Ten Trophy. How Crean is not coach of the year is beyond me! Wisconsin is sitting back in Madison. Meanwhile, the rightful coach of the year is working his way towards the national championship. I question the wisdom of the media members who named Bo Ryan coach of the year. I think that Tom Crean embraces his role as the head coach for the Hoosiers. He has a bunch of warriors who will fight and win for him. He is better than Bob Knight anytime!
