Charlotte, NC. With the mayhem at Talladega behind us, it’s time to turn our attention to the house that was once owned by five-time champion Jimmie Johnson. Now it’s time for me to give you my look at the Chase. Tony Stewart, last year’s champion, comes into the Bank of America 500 in 7th place in points. Meanwhile, we have a new driver at the top of the heap, Brad Keselowski. Of course, you have the usual suspects, like the #48 car and the #11 car, Denny Hamlin. So does Tony have a shot? I don’t think so anymore. I think the men to beat are BK and JJ, because Chicago was only a preview of what was to come. So, if anyone wants to put money in the bank at Charlotte, they’re going to have to beat BK, JJ, and Greg Biffle. Whether or not last year’s champion still has a shot, only time will tell. That all depends on BK, JJ, and Denny. Any one of the drivers mentioned in this post could have a shot at the bank being opened on Saturday night at the Charlotte Motor Speedway. Stay tuned as we follow the Chase all the way to Homestead. This is YOUR home for NASCAR. Read my opinion on the goings-on in Charlotte on Monday.
