Here are some thoughts that I haven’t shared with you guys yet about the Bobcats’ fifth straight championship, and their role in the playoffs. Yes, it was lovely when Chris went down to Layne! I do not like the Bruins’ brand of hockey. Once a Bobcat, always a cat! When Austin was up 1-0, I thought to myself, “better luck next time trying to tie the series at one.” Then on Friday, when the Bruins were up 2-0, I was like, “we’ve got to get this game,” and then when we scored! I started noticing a change in the two benches. Austin seemed to have the air let out of them and the Bobcats kept turning their legs and gaining more and more confidence. I know I have said this a lot, but Layne’s team reminds me of a group in Billings named the Bulls. It seems like Chris’s troops were getting frustrated, and they had no answer for the Bobcats. Even though we won games three and four by one goal each, it was still nice to see Chris’s team get denied the chance to go to Frisco. That is because they were talking a lot of smack about the Bobcats all year. So the Bobcats finally showed what happens when you use your mouth and don’t play your game. Another part that made me really happy about Chris’s team going down was the way they kept taking penalties and some of their key players kept abusing the refs and the referee wouldn’t put up with their bull! In the end, the better team got the shot at the “Robbie”. What I think it’s going to take to win the “Robbie” is team unity. Two young men who I am very proud to call my team’s MVP’s are Aaron Nelson and Brian Nies.
