San Antonio, Texas. Last night was the final chapter in the long history between the Longhorns and their Head Coach Mac Brown. Unfortunately, the Ducks from Oregon would give Texas and their fans little to remember the Alamo by. This was supposed to be a story about Mac and his final game for the Horns, but Marcus Mariota made sure that there would be little talk about Brown, and the Horns. This 8-5 record is nowhere near what we are used to seeing from the Longhorn football program, but there are great things to remember Mac by. Like the year he won the national championship with Vince Young. When you think of the University of Texas football, you have to think of Mac Brown. The Ducks could be your new number one going into the first game. It doesn’t matter that the Ducks are not playing for this year’s national title. That honor will be given to Florida State and Auburn. I can hardly wait for the BCS to go away, because all it does is create a lot of problems, and a big mess. I can remember the day when watching all the bowls used to be fun, but now because of the BCS it’s so watered down. I think the BCS is a mockery of what it used to be. I can’t wait until the playoffs next year.
