Grand Forks, ND – The Demons proved once again why they are a high powered machine, and why it’s hard to stop this devilish bunch.  Jared Hochhalter did most of the damage on Fargo North.  Hochhalter earned JB Sportscorner’s #1 Star.  Look for him to get a tender to a Junior A team.  (If he doesn’t, any team who passes this kid up is crazy.)  Final Score: Bismarck – 4, Fargo North – 0.  The Demons look to continue their path of destruction through the East, tonight at 6:30 pm, when they battle Grafton/Park River.

Spoilers Spoil Braves’ Dreams
The Spoilers left Mandan wondering what could have been, had they played a full sixty minutes.  If it wasn’t for Mandan’s senior goal tender, Ethan Kline, the Braves could have been scalped even more.  Final Score: Grafton/P.R. – 2, Mandan – 0.  This was a game that Mandan could have had, but they didn’t bring their A-game.  As a result, they have no choice in the matter but to play a loser-out game at 12:30 pm today.
Grand Forks Red River Bucks Patriots
Early in the game it looked like “the red, white, and blue” might have been able to hang with the ‘Riders getting an early jump on a Joey Paulus goal, but later on in the game they were in for a rough ride.  Grand Forks Red River will move on for the right to a State Hockey Championship.  Final Score: GFRR – 8, Century – 2.  Meanwhile, the Patriots are faced with a solemn realization that if they don’t win today, they are one and done.  Century will face the ‘yotes in a loser-out game at 3:00 pm today.

Blizzard Freeze South in Double O.T.
The Blizzard had to play a full sixty minutes and more.  In the end, it was the south that was frozen out of the right to play for the title.  Lauren Maddock got the last chance to give the south a case of frostbite.  Final Score: Bismarck – 3, Fargo South – 2.
