Danica Patrick has to Wait Another Day!!

Daytona Beach, FL. On Sunday, it was supposed to be NASCAR superbowl, but mother nature had other ideas. Instead of hearing the roar of engines, a lot of race fans were forced to watch the weather instead. The race is rescheduled for Monday at 12 p.m. Eastern time. The weather is not expected to be any better. If I was NASCAR, I wouldn’t even try to run it on Monday, I would wait until Tuesday. This is the NASCAR version of the superbowl. It might be a waste of money to risk the chance of having this big event cancelled again. This makes no sense to me! Whenever the NASCAR superbowl is run, I will be covering “Danica Mania” on jeremiahboyce.com. I will also be covering Tony Stewart’s attempt to become a two time champion all season long. I am really excited to have a satellite radio, so I can take my readers to Daytona with me.

Pacers Threat to Come out of East

Indianapolis, Indiana. Sure, you’re gonna have nights when you don’t play with team unity, but it’s how you respond to adversity on any given night, and Tyler Hansbrough is quickly assuming the role of a team leader. Danny Grainger is also determined to bring the Larry O’Brian trophy to Bird. The Pacers have won more than they have lost, which is a great start and these two new leaders are setting the pace to putting Indiana on the map, and are providing leadership just Mr. Pacer Reggie Miller. Heading into a Sunday game at home against Michael Jordan’s Bobcats, the Pacers can go for win number 19 and cement themselves as one of the NBA’s elite teams. They already beat the Lakers earlier this year. It’s a long season, but these Pacers are a force to be reckoned with.

Edwards Claims Top Dog Honors For 54th Running of Great American Race

Daytona Beach, Florida. With the Budweiser Shootout a distant memory in 2012, 43 drivers returned to Daytona with their eyes on the prize. Sunday belonged to last year’s runner up to Tony Stewart, but it’s not where you start, it’s where you finish in NASCAR’s Super Bowl. No one remembers who finished 43rd. Everyone remembers the Bayne of NASCAR, because he went from “who’s he?” to a Daytona victor. What will happen to cousin Carl now that he starts from the number one position in the 54th running of the 500? All winter, the attention has been on Stewart and how he would react to defending a title and the loss of one of the key cogs in his kingdom, Darien Grubb. We have 26 races to find out, but the closest Chase in NASCAR history is a distant memory.

Busch Wins Budweiser

Daytona Beach, Florida. Going in to Saturday night’s shootout, there were plenty of story lines to cover. How would HMS recover after having their kingdom gutted? More on them later. Another story that’s going to get talked about on your Sunday round tables are the Busches. The Busches have been known as NASCAR’s bad boys. Kurt Busch, who was shown the door because of his conduct toward Roger Penske and his employees is being given a second chance by James Finch and Phoenix Racing. Kyle Busch is still in Mr. Rogers neighborhood with Joe Gibbs Racing. Daytona was all about two by two tandem racing last year. But NASCAR is governed by a sanctioning body that listens to its fans, so on Saturday night, tandem racing was gone, which was a bad move, because there were a lot of damaged race cars. As for the racing, it came down to Smoke and Busch. The ironic thing about this matchup was the fact that Steve Addington, who used to be Kyle Busch’s crew chief now joins the defending champion, Tony Stewart. Addington replaces Darien Grubb, last year’s winning crew chief on the 14 team. Look for the demolition derby to continue and look for race cars to flip over on their sides as long as NASCAR continues to listen to its fans, and that is ridiculous. You’re trying to protect your drivers by making NASCAR safer. What we saw on Saturday night is inexcusable. Quit listening to your fans, NASCAR and go back to the way it was, or you’re going to have another Dale Earnhardt situation if you are not careful and one of your champions will go to NASCAR heaven.

Irsay to be Put on the Grill

By Jeremiah Boyce · Comments (0)
Sunday, February 12th, 2012

Indianapolis, Indiana. Horseshoes are supposed to be lucky, but I have my own opinion of what Jim Irsay is doing with the Colts. Why in the world, Irsay, would you release a Super Bowl 41 MVP and draft a quarterback who you know nothing about? As far as Saturday possibly moving to your front office, maybe Jeff could bring you some brains that you don’t have. You are facing a firestorm right now, and it’s coming from Bismarck, North Dakota at you. You gave us a Super Bowl, and then you had a lift your tail moment, and now you want to draft Andrew Luck. The way you are dealing with Peyton Manning really smells like a horse barn. You make me want to go where Peyton will go. You are the worst owner in the league. What is going on in Indianapolis is your fault, so if you’re 0-16, it’s because of you, not because of your players. The way you unceremoniously got rid of Caldwell shows me that you don’t care about the Tony Dungy way, which was classy. Now you give the rest of the NFL a cakewalk when they come to the Luke.
