Owatonna, Minnesota. There was a lot riding on this series. Going into the Chirstmas break, this was a very important series. The winner would have the momentum going into Christmas. On Friday night, Owatonna got on the board first on a mistake by Bismarck’s number 31 Ryan Faragher. With Owatonna capitalizing when Schyler Adams capitalized on a Faragher mistake. But the Bobcats quickly bailed out their all star goalie on a goal by Charles Mosey, tying the game at 1. The Bobcats grabbed the momentum making the next goal the game winner on a goal by Daniel Zawacki. Score 2-1 Bobcats. The next night, the Bobcats derailed the Express, scoring a 5-1 win. Here is Saturday night’s recap. Saturday night the Bobcats applied pressure on Owatonna early and often. Brett Bower would score first with help from Francis DeAugustine in period one. In the second period, Grant Mindt scored with help from Samuel Dougherty making the score 2-0. Owatonna would get on the board in the 3rd period with a score by Lawrence Cornellier making it 2-1, but not for long. The Bobcats scored three times after that, by Daniel Zawacki, Bryce Schmitt, and Francis DeAugustine, making it a 5-1 Bobcats win. The Bobcats have a record of 19-8-1 and Owatonna has a record of 16-12-4. The next Bobcats game is on Thursday December 30th when they look to barbecue the Wings. Face off is at 7:15pm.

Winter Wreaks Havoc on Vikings-Giants

Minneapolis, Minnesota. The recent winter wonderland in Minnesota ripped apart the roof on the Vikings’ home, and has left this reporter questioning the Minnesota legislature’s motivation behind building a new stadium for the Twins and shooting down the Vikings part of the bill. If you love your Minnesota Golden Gophers football team, Minnesota legislature, get off your butts and quit being money pinchers and help the Vikings build a new stadium like the state of Indiana did for the horses. If you do nothing for your Vikings, the sheriff will personally rip you on this website. The Twins are a classy organization and they did something classy when 35W collapsed, by putting a sign on the outfield wall at the Metrodome that read 35W, so now it’s time for the legislature to do the only right thing and save the NFL in Minnesota by building a new stadium for the Vikings.

Saturday December 11, 2010 Bismarck, ND

On Saturday night, the Bobcats were looking to sweep the Bruins out of town. When you are a first place team and the other team is in last place, you want to take the life out of them early. This is what the Bobcats did, scoring not even a minute into the game, on a beautiful play by #12 Matthew Gates when he undressed the goalie and put it in the five hole. Later, the tough Texan Tom Rizzardo would do the two-step and Austin would not be dancing. However, the Bruins would try to get something brewing when Sam Olson scored on a little bit of puck luck, but BIsmarck would snap the momentum right back when Emerson created a little bit of sunshine on his own, driving the dagger in the Bruins comeback attempt, thus making the final score 3-1. The Bobcats are in first place in the central division with a record of 17-8-1. The next game for the Bobcats will be away against Owatonna.
