No Brotherly Love

In Indianapolis, Indiana; no one could tell that the Colts were 0-1. It was the Colts, and Payton Manning, who wanted to be a Giant killer! Indianapolis scored early and often. You couldn’t tell that this was the same Peyton Manning team. A week earlier in Houston, somebody forgot to tell Peyton and the Colts that they are the “Defending AFC Champions”. The Houston Texans did the Texas Two Step all over them!!! But on this night, it would be the “Payton Manning Superbowl”. He could give Eli a game he wants to forget he ever played. And the Colts would trample all over Eli. The ending score was 38 to 13!

Johnson begins “Drive for Five”

The regular season is a thing of the past. We are now entering the “Johnson” season, where Jimmie usually shines! This year, however, could be a different story. Let me explain to you why>>>>>>>There are several reasons why Jimmie will have a hard time defending his Kingdom.
Number 1….He has a big target on his back for all to go after to knock him off his throne.
Number 2….No.48 is not invincible
Number 3…We have seen several times throughout the summer months where Jimmie will look like he is going to win and then, trouble strikes.
Number 4…There is a certain car owner, who owns Jimmie’s #48, who is sick of seeing him have the all the success
Number 5…There are 12 drivers who would like to be on top of the mountain but one stands in the way, and that is “KING JIMMIE”
Number 6…Until somebody dethrones him, this might as well be called the Forty Chase instead of the Chase for the Sprint Cup everybody has been chasing him for the last 4 years and has been unsuccessful.

Minnesota Twins Sweep White Sox

Chicago, Illinois. The Minnesota Twins won at one of the toughest places in baseball, at Chicago US Cellular Field. It surprised me that they won all 3 games in Chicago! I thought the White Sox would be ready to take on the first place Minnesota Twins, but surprisingly it was the Twins that dominated the White Sox. And now the Twins have a 9 game lead over Chicago. What is up with that? White Sox played the games like they were a minor league team instead of major league.
We know what the Twins will be doing in October! Meanwhile the White Sox will be sitting on their couches and watching the Yankees and the Twins fight it out to go to the World Series. Or it maybe it could Twins verses Tampa Bay. We don’t know yet who will be challenging the Twins for the Series.

New Orleans, LA. The Mississippi pretty boy returns to the LA Super Dome as he leads the purple people eaters against hurricane Drew Brees. Mississippi pretty boy has played in he NFL for 20 years, and you know who I mean when I say Mississippi pretty boy. I am talking about Brett Favre. Last year, Minnesota had its dream of going to the Super Bowl ruined by the New Orleans Saints. Now, a year later, the Saints and Vikings meet again in the regular season opener. How will Hurricane Drew equal the Saints performance from one year ago that swept the Vikings out of the playoffs? Now Brett Favre must face the “Who that nation?” Brett Favre must face a really loud Super Dome. For all your Saints coverage, stay tuned to the “Who that website?” jeremiahboyce.com

Where there’s Smoke there’s Fire!

Atlanta, GA. On Sunday night, Denny Hamlin had the pole. But before the night was over he wouldn’t be healthy and his engine would blow up. He wasn’t the only Joe Gibbs car to have problems, Joey Logano who is Hamlin’s teammate had trouble with his car. Before the night was over, the rest of the field would be filled with smoke, as Tony Stewart would claim his first win of the season. This is typically the time of year where Smoke starts smoking. Jimmy Johnson claimed his spot in the chase with a 3rd place finish at Atlanta. The series moves on to Richmond, VA where this will mark the end of the regular season. This will also set the 12 drivers who are eligible to chase the Sprint Cup.
