Two Champs Fighting

Charlotte, NC
Jimmie Johnson and Jeff Gordan are allegedly teammates, but they have been far from it in the last two weeks. At Texas, Jeff Gordan said “I guess fourtime is a little upset,” and then last week at Talledega it came all to a head when Gordan said on National Television that “48 is really testing my patients, and I’m really pissed right now.” I think both of these Gentlemen should be ashamed of themselves and their childish behavior. This is not the sportsmanship that should be shown by sports champions. If I was in the NASCAR trailer the next time that Jimmie and Jeff acted up on the track, they would be suspended for the rest of the regular season and when it came to the chase they would be minus two hundred points right away. I don’t care if Johnson has won the last four titles in a row, you might as well call him “Jimmie Irnhart” because what he is doing is reminding all of us the of the black number three. As far as Mr. Gordan goes, what kind of message does this send Ella? That it’s okay to swear on National Television and to have fights with another competitor and teammate? Grow boys, I’m watching you. JeremiahBoyce.com is watching you.

Alexandria, MN

For the Bismarck Bobcats, the one thing they did not want was a game #5 in Bismarck. April winds bring May nationals! For the second straight year the Bismarck Bobcats have earned the right to play for a National Championship in Wenatchee, WA. Last year they had to go five games against Owatonna to get to Nationals in Mason City, IA, this year only took three games. The Blizzard played a very strong series but in the end the Bismarck Bobcats were the team of destiny. This is a team that is built to challenge anybody for hockey’s royal throne. Here is your scoring recap. It would be Bismarck who’d tally first with a goal by #14 Trent Johnson. Then the Bobcats would follow that up with some more strong plays, one with a goal by #12 Ryan Jacobson, making the score 2-0. The Cats would score a key goal, by #7 Casey Kleisinger, which would drive a stake in the heart of Alexandria. The Blizzard would milk a small flurry scoring one goal in the third period, but the night belonged to the Bobcats, who are the team on top of the Central! The Bobcats do not know who they will challenge in the first round of National Tournament play at the Town Toyota Center. Stayed tuned for all your national coverage right here on your website, home of the two-time Central Division Champions, the Bismarck Bobcats!

Jeremiah is Burning!

The University of North Dakota “Fighting Sioux” will always be the “Sioux” to me. Why should the NCAA ruin tradition? All they do is sit in comfy, cozy chairs in Indianapolis, Indiana. Maybe they should fly their behinds to North Dakota and see how many people want the name to stay the same, before they a make a big stink about it. Correct me if I am wrong, but didn’t the Florida State “Seminoles” get to keep their name when it was challenged? Why is having the mascot of the “Sioux” any different? Perhaps the Board of Higher Education should worry more about getting our Nation’s youth through college with out breaking the bank, instead of a team mascot’s name. If the name is changed, UND will have to change everything in their REA, causing higher tuition costs to UND students in the future.

BOBCATS PUSH BLIZZARD TO BRINK

By Jeremiah Boyce · Comments (0)

Bismarck, ND- For the Bismarck Bobcats, they had two options. Option number one, the Bobcats could have given the Blizzard life and let them tie the series at 1-1, or they could have put the Blizzard on the brink and forced them to have to win two games to tie the series. In the first period, Bismarck jumped on A-town right away, putting the pressure on Alexandria goalie, Robert Tadazak. In goal for Bismarck was Jake Williams, who has carried the Bobcats all play-offs long. Williams showed why he has been getting the majority of the play between the pipes for the Bobcats. The Bismarck offense gave Jake Williams an early 2-0 lead with goals by Sean McKenzie and Sam Rendle. But unlike Friday night, Alexandria had answers, finding the back of the net twice. The first of Alexandria’s responses came off the stick of number 8, Nardo Nagtzaam, cutting the Bobcats lead in half, making the score 2-1, Bismarck. Alexandria then tying the score at 2-2 when Simon Cederborg-Nilsson said to the Bobcats, “You’re going to have to work harder for this one.” After the Blizzard tied the score, the Bobcats knew they were in for a battle. The Cats then responded with three straight goals. The first of Bismarck’s nails in the heart of Alexandria came off a goal by number 19, Tyler Klein. Bismarck then added more salt to the wound on a goal by Gavin Hartzog. And then finally Bismarck put the Blizzard to bed with a final nail in the coffin coming off the stick of their own number 16, Jason Fabian. Games number three and four will be in A-town, but if a game number 5 is needed it will be in Cat-Town USA, Bismarck. With a win on Friday, the Bobcats will be off to hockey promise land, where they will fight for the right to be crowned hockey kings.
