Brett Farve Undecided

By Jeremiah Boyce · Comments (0)
Thursday, July 31st, 2008

It boggles my mind how Brett Farve wants to come back to the NFL! The reason is because when you have the body of a twenty eight year old, you heal from injuries much faster and you are far less likely to suffer from concussions; but now in the body of a thirty eight year old, he must rise to the challenge once again and prove to this reporter that a thirty eight year old body can still take as good a beating as an twenty eight year old body can. Several teams are interested in the veteran services of Farve. I would like to see him in Purple and gold this coming fall because the Vikings have a younger Quarter Back system than that of Green Bay. Good luck Brett wherever you end up, JB Sports Corner will be watching!!

Brett Favre Returns to NFL

By Jeremiah Boyce · Comments (0)
Wednesday, July 30th, 2008

In March, Brett Favre announced his retirement, and on Wednesday afternoon one of the NFL’s stars made it clear that he wanted to play football in the 2008-09 season.  The Packers’ GM told the former Packer not to show up in Green Bay, because they had already anointed Aaron Rogers as the 2008-09 starter.  If Favre would have returned to Green Bay, he would have been the #2 QB.  The Packers have 24 hours to release, trade, or put him on the active roster.  It is unknown where the QB from Southern Mississippi will play on the football field.  Maybe for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers,  the pilot for the NY Jets offense, or possibly, with the purple people eaters (Vikings, where the Packers ex-offensive coordinator, Darrel Bevell).

NASCAR: Good Year to Blame for Indy Dabacle

By Jeremiah Boyce · Comments (0)
Tuesday, July 29th, 2008

Sunday’s Allstate 400 at the Brickyard was won by Jimmie Johnson.  However, the bigger story here instead of racing, ladies and gentlemen, was that this was one of NASCAR’s biggest debacles, because of the Good Year brand of tires that NASCAR got.  There were many yellow flags in the running of the Brickyard 400.  They weren’t for accidents, but rather for tires that fell apart and were not adjusted to the track.  That left this reporter wondering why the big cheeses at NASCAR didn’t schedule a test day at one of NASCAR’s biggest races.  If they would have scheduled a test, they would have been able to find the problem right away and not have had the debacle in the heartland.  NASCAR, you should be ashamed of yourself.  You pride yourself in being for the fans, but Sunday was all about tires.  You could have avoided that problem.  Sunday felt like watching a demolition derby more than a stock car race.

It’s Not All About Sports

By Jeremiah Boyce · Comments (0)
Friday, July 25th, 2008

Sports fans, today I would like to share with the whole world that it’s not all about sports.  Last night, I had a chance to worship the one that makes JB SportsCorner possible, my Heavenly Father, when Mark Hall and the rest of my favorite christian rock group (Casting Crowns) came to Minot.  I hope you all will be tremendously blessed by the photos that are posted here.  I would like to give all the glory to the real champion.  When the readership reads about sports, I want you to realize that it’s more than just sports scores, it’s Jesus Christ coming out of me for you guys to see.  Thanks again to my Heavenly Father.  Whenever you read this site, you will only see the voice of truth.  What a blessing it is for me to have a very supportive and strong christian upbringing.  There are several blessings that I would like to thank: Scott Wild, a tremendous brother and friend.  Susan and John Boyce, the best parents on the face of this Earth.  Thank you for bringing me up in a strong christian home and always showing us the voice of truth.

Today’s Bible verse is found in John 15:5 “For I am the vine and you are the branches.”
