Kansas City, Missouri. It doesn’t matter that Peyton Manning is no longer in white and blue, Andrew is making a name for himself. You have to give Jim Irsay a lot of credit. Just when you thought you were going to get your head ripped off, Jimmy, not this year. I’m here to tell you Merry Christmas, Mr. Irsay. Thank you for making my Colts one of the elite franchises in the NFL, without Mr. Manning. Even though Mr. Manning is gone, we have new horses to wrap our hearts around. One of them is named Andrew, who continues to grow up before our very eyes. He went into Arrowhead in a very hostile environment, and one of the loudest stadiums in the league and seemed to say, “I dare you to try and rattle me, Kansas City. I’ll show you how we play Colts football.” What can you say about Trent Richardson? This was a guy that Colts fans were a little unsure about when Gregson first made the trade. But even he, who is now quickly becoming a media darling, is making big trade after big trade when the Colts really need it. It would be interesting to see what the Colts have planned for the future with some of the free agents coming up. You would think they would learn how to handle free agency a little better than they did with Manning. The reason why I’m skeptical about that is the last time we had a big time free agent, we had to let him go. We got Andrew and everything turned out ok, but Ryan knows best. I’m assuming that Ryan and Jimmy have the Colts fans’ interests in their hearts. But why would any General Manager want to give any pieces of the puzzle away that could bring their city back to a Super Bowl in the future? Only time will tell. It’s just that the NFL is a business. It’s not about the love of the game any more, it’s about the money. Sometimes, money talks to players, and sometimes players listen to money and they don’t listen to the city where they have spent most of their career. Case in point, Mr. Manning.
