Who would’ve ever thought that the Colts and Texans would be vying for a crown with the same record? The Colts finished one game short of the ultimate prize last year, but they don’t even resemble the team that played the Patriots in the title game. They have been playing with a forty year old quarterback, who was injured yesterday, and now the Colts are forced to go with Charlie Whitehurst, who is not used to the Colts offense. As for the Colts defense, it was virtually nonexistent, as they allowed Jacksonville to score fifty points on them. The Colts offense could only score sixteen points on them. The Colts got help from an old nemesis, New England, as they defeated the Texans, making them six and seven, as well.

The Colts had better hope that Andrew is ready to play, because Charlie Whitehurst has a lot to learn in one week, for the biggest game of their season. This could be the difference between having one of last year’s finalists in the playoffs, or having one of them sitting on the couch. It’s not Chuck Pagano’s fault. It is the men who wear the horseshoe on their helmet. They had a chance to wrap up the AFC South all year long, and now they have nobody to blame but themselves. With the record being six and seven, I wouldn’t want to be one of the people with tickets to the Luke on Sunday. Last year they were a twelve and five team, and Andrew took them one win away from the Superbowl. This year we can only hope for seven and seven. I wouldn’t be surprised if they were eliminated in the first round. Ryan Grigson can deal with a lot of horse manure after the football season, including having to re-sign Andrew Luck, and having to keep Chuck Pagano as his head coach.

The players love playing for Pagano. A year ago he was battling cancer, now Ryan Grigson has no choice but to re-sign him as the head coach, because I like how he deals with Bob Lamey. He speaks nothing but the truth, whenever Lamey has interviewed him, and he will tell you when something is wrong.
