Marion Hossa scored a key goal just when it looked like the Wild were going to escape in the second period without anybody scoring on them. Jason Pominville scored his seventh goal of the year, tying the game at one. But Chicago didn’t want any of that, and the Blackhawks went on to score the final four goals and earn a split of the home and home series. There were several key parts of the game where the puck didn’t slide in the Wild’s way. For some reason, Niklas Backstrom wasn’t sharp at all. And when you look at number 55 Mathew Dumba, he let a Blackhawk pull away from him and score, which is unacceptable. I don’t care if you are a young kid or not, mistakes like Matt made will have a huge impact on whether you lose or win. Also, the penalties are going to hurt you too. With the loss, the Wild now fall to 6-4-3. With Chicago’s win, they are now 7-2-3. Up next for the Wild is les Canadiens and they play at the Xcel Energy Center.
