After taking game one 1-0 and having the Cy Young award winner on the mound for seven strong innings last night, the inexcusable happened. The Tigers were ahead 5-0 at the time when Jim Leyland made the move to the bullpen. The following is NOT for you to read if you have weak stomach! Why did Leyland make the move to the bullpen? Did Max tell him that I am getting tired? If Max did not tell Leyland that I am getting tired, then the loss is clearly on Jim Leyland’s shoulders. I say that, because I don’t know how you can take someone out when they were clearly cruising through the Boston line up? Answer me that Leyland. Why would you take Max out when he was clearly cruising? Fenway Park was sounding like a funeral home, because the Tigers were dominating the Red Sox, and then Leyland woke the crowd up by putting someone out there who clearly didn’t have command of the strike zone. David Ortiz hit a grand slam home run that tied the game at five, and then Jarrod Saltalamacchia delivered the game winner. That also gave Boston a tied series at one, and that left Dave O’Brien going crazy. When David Ortiz hit the home run, Jim Leyland saw the Red Sox get tied with the Tigers at one. Here is how it sounded on WEEI the Boston Red Sox flagship station, David Ortiz has tied the game. This morning when I heard David O’Brien’s call I wanted to reach over and turn my satelite off. We know that David Ortiz tied the game you don’t need to say it three times! A note for all of you Tiger fans out there, Do Not listen to WEEI, with Dave O’Brien and Joe Castiglione, unless you are a fan of those two goons. I would go with Dan Dickerson and Jim Price. They are much better then that New England group of Clam Chouder announcers. They are going to have to put up with a fired up group of Tigers because 35 is going to be on the mound tomorrow. If you don’t think that he would like to deliver a message to the group of Clam Chouder people you are wrong! If I know Justin he has a little bit of Pit bull in him just like we saw in Oakland, and he will be fired up! With the home town crowd behind them, I think the Tigers engine will be re-fired up once again. I am going to double check the listing on siruisxm and then I will get back to you with the channels that have Dan and Jim on. Clam Chowder anyone? No thank you, not me. After what I heard this morning that was ridiculous we know he tied the game. You can quit acting like he won the World Series, because he did not. I am sorry Red Sox nation, but this is clearly a Tiger website. I know Dan and Jim very well. I have had two great expeirences with them, so of course they are going to get my backing. I hate to slam anyone in my profession, but three times is a little annoying. Dave O’Brien does a great job for ESPN, but he only filled on Wednesday, and a couple of Sundays.
