Bismarck, North Dakota. After a 3-1 win on Friday night, the game between the Bismarck Bobcats and the Owatonna Express had all the makings of a war. The Express were the first to fire a bullet when Ryan Faragher would face white out conditions by Nick Widing. Nick Widing would find Ryan Faragher’s five hole putting the Express on the board at 10:47 in the second period. It wouldn’t remain that way for long, as the gates were opened on a goal by Matt Gates tying the game at 1-1. It would remain that way for the rest of period 2, period 3, and overtime. Nikolaj Rosenthal derailed the Express with the game winner, giving the national champions a record of 13,7,1. Meanwhile, Owatonna was swept for the second straight time by the Bismarck Bobcats.
