Going into training camp, in the summer of 2008, those of us in the media were told that the Bobcats had a stronger and a much more physical team. In Alexandria, that proved to be true as the Bobcats were able to shut down Jerry Freismuth and Joe Knoepke. In Game 1 of Series 2, they dominated the Express and looked like they would breeze through another series without any trouble. Enter in Saturday night’s Game 2. Gilbert, AZ’s Matt Grogan in net. There was an opportunity to move one step closer and grab this series by a choke hold and put the Express in a must-win Game 3 situation. Instead, we saw lifeless Bobcats. It’s not the goalie’s fault which Bobcat team will emerge. Will it be the one that has the capabilities to make the opposing rink look like the VFW SportsCenter? Or, will this season come to a crashing halt and leave Coaches Byron Pool and Aaron Kinslow scratching their heads?
