Wenatchee, WA Town Toyota Center

May 9th, 2010. Yesterday after a 4-3 loss to Fairbanks, wrapping up a round robin play, the Bobcats rested some of their key starters for tonight’s rematch with the dogs. Yesterday it was Jake Williams in the net, but today it was Ryan Faragher, who hasn’t lost a game in the playoffs. It was the Bobcats who would open up the scoring with a goal by #7 Casey Kleisinger with assistance by Tyler Klein, making the score 1-0. The Bobcats would pad the lead to 2-0 by Jason Fabian with assistance from Nick Jensen and Sam Rendle. Next the Bobcats’ Sean McKenzie would put the nail in the coffin of Fairbanks, making it an insurmountable lead of 3-0 . Giving the Bobcats their first ever Robertson Cup title and laying claim to the fact that the number one team will reside in Bismarck, ND! I would like to congratulate the head coach of the National Champs Byron Pool and his assistant Layne Sedevie on bringing home the BIGGEST trophy ever in Bobcat’s history! The Bismarck Bobcats gave their staff writer a early 29th birthday present. May 9th 2010 is forever special to me. This win means more to me than two Borne Cups, because it means the Bobcats are the best in the entire country! I cannot wait until opening night when we raise the National Championship banner and when I get my ring! Thank you to the Bobcats for a great season and can’t wait to do it again next year.
