With Roy Hibbert dispatched to the LA Lakers, President Larry Bird was not finished Christmas shopping, and was not done with his Christmas list for the fans. Raheem Christmas is a proven winner. He comes from Jim Boeheim, where he knows what to do with the basketball, into a state where basketball is a religion. If he does not play correctly, he is going to find himself sitting next to coach Vogel on the bench. President Bird expects a lot out of him, that is why he traded for him in July. Granted, we have not seen him play a quarter of basketball yet, but from what I saw from him, I like the way he plays the game, and I like the way Bird has gone about putting together the nucleus of the team this summer. I think the Pacers will be a force to be reckoned with this season, with Paul George, Christmas, and anybody else that Vogel puts into the starting lineup. There might be a few stumbling blocks early out of the gate, but Pacers fans, please do not boo. Support your team. Larry is making the right moves to give you and the city of Indianapolis a Larry O’Brian trophy. That is why he is the president of the team.
