Defying a doctor’s order not to play on a bum knee, Tiger Woods showed why he is the “King of the Golf Jungle,” by claiming the US Open at Tiger (Torrey) Pines.  Woods, who grew up playing at his home jungle, claimed the heart of America on a bum knee.  He never gave up.  Defiant and triumphant, he epitomized what it was to be a champion facing adversity.  For his trouble, the roar is silent, due to a season ending knee surgery.  Tiger Woods may be even better than “the Shark,” Greg Norman.
