The History of Indy

The Yard of Bricks was built in 1909, and can hold approximately 400,000 people.  Where did the drinking of milk come from?  It became a tradition in the Hoosier heartland in 1936 after Victor Louis Meyer requested a glass of buttermilk because his mom told him to drink it on hot days.  It became a trademark of the “Greatest Spectacle in Racing” as milk comanies became sponsors.
