First, we will look at a member of the FOX broadcast family, Jeff Gordon. Gordon started 21st in the Brickyard 400, but he rallied to finish 13th in the race. Moving on – a native of Columbus, Indiana, Tony Stewart started in the #3 position, but was unable to finish in the top 10, finishing 11th overall in his final performance at the Brickyard. Tony was also caught for speeding, a situation where it looked like he might have had a top 5 car, had he not been caught speeding on pit road. NASCAR caught several other people, including 6-time champion Jimmy Johnson, with this same violation of the rules on Sunday in SpeedWay, Indiana.

This past weekend was all about one man – Kyle Busch. Not only did he lay claim to his second Brickyard win in a row, but he put the rest of the drivers on notice that if you want to win a championship you have to beat me and Adam Stevens.

While everyone else was overshadowed by Kyle Busch over the weekend, Kevin Harvick did a great job to finish 6th (still, nobody laid a fender near the Candyman..) Even more disappointment came from a once-great driver of the IMS, Danica Patrick. She said “It’s miserable” referring to her 20th position finish at the Brickyard.

JeremiahBoyce.com will keep you updated on whether or not Kyle Busch can make it back-to-back titles again. Stay tuned!
