On Sunday Afternoon it came down to a battle of kickers, and a battle of youth versus experience. Andrew Luck is recovering from a shoulder injury, so the Indianapolis Colts went with 40 year old backup quarterback Matt Hasselbeck, who threw for a touchdown. But the big story here is Adam Vinatieri. Adam knows how to win battles, but the rest of the Colts look like they were lifeless. On Sunday afternoon their defense really came into play, and Adam Viatieri showed them how to win. Hopefully that winning attitude carries over to Houston, where they will make the Texans have a Texas sized problem. They already have a problem with everything. It is really unique what you can learn on WFNI from a media standpoint, because Jim Sorgi is a former quarterback for the Indianapolis Colts. I really like listening to his perspective on the game. Indianapolis is going to Houston where they look to keep the momentum going. First of all, you need to get Andrew healthy, and second of all, you have to keep JJ Watt away from Matt Hasselbeck, or Andrew Luck if he will play. Indianapolis needs to put pressure on quarterbacks.
Thanks to John Boyce for lending his iPhone when I was at work on Sunday afternoon, so I could listen to the game for the article. You are the greatest dad in the world.
