There are only four dress rehearsals before the NAHL post season begins for the Bobcats. One of the games happened to be last night, against the Minotauros, and the Bobcats came up with a four to nothing loss. On Wednesday, the Bobcats had a media day with the Sheriff’s Patrol, and on today’s Sheriff’s Patrol is a special guest, Layne Sedevie. It was clear that coach Sedevie was disappointed about his team’s inability to play along the wall. Sedevie said that the Bobcats must do better along the wall in the defensive zone. “The Bobcats are like a light switch.” By that Layne means they turn their plays on and off for a while. As far as the goalies go, Layne will try to have a goaltenders rotation between Alex Bitsakis and Hunter Shepard. It still depends which one can carry the team the farthest, because it is difficult to tell which goalie is going to be hot. Coach Sedevie is looking for consistency, and he has to find it out of Shepard or Alex. When it came to penalties, Layne told the patrol “We are working on that. They can’t do it again or we’ll dress somebody else. We are just taking dumb penalties and kind of shooting ourselves in the foot.” Here is what Bobcat fans can expect when they come out to the den to watch their favorite team play. It will be up to the bench boss, Layne Sedevie. He is trying to feel which goalie fits his team the best, which player will fit the Bobcats for their needs, and which player wants to make a run toward another national title. Coach Sedevie was not happy with their defensive plays. The only way out of some of the bad habits is for the Bobcats to keep working on their game. The Bobcats need to get better in their defensive zone. This is a bad time to have a weakness in their game. Layne would like his team’s efforts to be stronger.
