Things that were working a week earlier in Bismarck were not working over the weekend at the Riverside Arena on Friday or Saturday. The Bruins made sure of that, and it all started early on Friday when the Bruins’ Jake Arroyo got one by the Montreal native, Alex Bitsakis. Matt Perry gave the good guys something to purr about with goals half way in the first and early in the second periods. The Bruins made sure they would be the only ones with something to “Tok” about on Friday night, when Trevor Boyd blasted in a puck that Bitsakis couldn’t stop. It was the Jacob Kullberg show for the last two Austin goals. On Saturday, the Bobcats looked tired (their Alaska trip may have had something to do with it), and it showed, early and often. The good thing for the Bobcats is that it’s not February or March right now. It’s still October and early in the season. Layne Sedevie and Garrett Roth have time to mold their team into the championship tradition they’re accustomed to. 6-8 may not look like champions right now, but don’t worry, Bobcat fans. If it feels like this in March and April, you can ask me what’s wrong, but there is no reason to worry now.
