Some people say the bigger they are, the harder they fall. For the North Dakota State Bison, this is the fourth straight year for having a target on their back. This year, it’s without familiar faces Craig Bohl and Brock Jensen. Bohl was lost to the Wyoming Cowboys and Jensen was lost to graduation. In their places, NDSU has a new head coach in Chris Klieman and a new quarterback in Carson Wentz.

Klieman should be experienced enough to handle Bison Nation because he was on former NDSU Coach Bohl’s staff. Wentz is likely familiar to West Region followers because he and his brother were a pretty good combination for Bismarck Century.

The Thundering Herd enter Saturday’s game with a 27-game winning streak on the line and in a familiar position because NDSU is number one in the coaches poll and they’re once again picked to win the Missouri Valley Conference.

One would think with all the years of watching Jensen that Wentz would be ready to face the fire. He’ll get his first chance on Saturday at 11 a.m. on Fox Sports 1 against Iowa State.
