All of the preliminary stuff is over, now it’s the real football season.  All season long it’s about positioning. 

There are two brothers and only one trophy.  Peyton and Eli Manning will battle for the right to lift the Lombardi over their head once again.  What will this chapter of the NFL bring us?  Peyton Manning and the hot Indianapolis Colts shellacked the AFC South champions, the Tennessee Titans, yesterday, 23-0. 

Meanwhile, in the NFC, the surprising Minnesota Vikings downed the defending champions (the Giants), 20-19. 

The Colts must run through a “River,” Philip Rivers, to move onto the next chapter. 

The Vikings must get by the Eagles to earn the right to battle for the Lombardi trophy.
